Fun at Northpark

Cody and I met Mary and her kids at Northpark mall a few weeks ago!  We will probably never get a picture with all the kids looking in the same direction but this pic still makes me happy! We were thankful Nattie came too!

My Dad

This is a picture of my dad when he was around 2 years old. My sister found it while she was at my Uncle Kirby's house and we couldn't believe how much Cody looks like my dad. My dad died in 2003 so this picture is extra special to have!

Silly Cody

Cody has just started asking to wear his sunglasses and if it's too sunny he says "go away sun!"

Cody loves to push around his shopping cart.  Sometimes he pushes around his cars or play food but on this day he opened the patry and put all the food on the bottom shelf in his cart and declared "I go shopping mommy!" He was so proud!

Cody was such a tropper one day before Christmas running errand with me. I let him take in his "videos" (iPad) and watch them in the shopping cart. It started out like this:

....and then he rearranged the cart to enjoy the videos like this:

We spent the day at Mary's house playing and this is how we found Cody. 

He wore his gloves around for hours one day and would not let me take them off. Each finger has a number on it and he loved counting!

Even when it's super cold outside Cody wants to be in the backyard!

Christmas at Grandpa and Grandma's House

He had his eye on Daddy's BIG present and we couldn't convince his it wasn't for him.

Family Fun in Oregon

This was Cody's favorite place to sit each night before bed.  We would watch the Polar Express and he would climb up in Uncle Bruce's lap.

Portland Zoo

We spent one cold, rainy but really fun afternoon at the Portland Zoo!  The whole extended family went!  This is Avery and Lucy...Cody's 2nd cousins. He had so much fun walking around the zoo with them.

We got to ride another train!  This time around the zoo to look at all the Christmas lights!

We went to Outback for dinner after the zoo!  The kids did great...with the help of Curious George on the iPad! :) Cody loved getting to hang out with Avery and Lucy and asks to see them all the time.  Too bad they live in Oregon and can't come to his house "tomorrow".

Polar Express Train Ride

Grandma and Grandpa got us all tickets to go on a train ride in Oregon with the Polar Express theme!  Cody was beyond excited to be on the Polar Express!

He even got his own ticket like the kids have in the movie!

We let him sit on the table so he could see out better.



He was so proud of the ticket!

The conductor even came and "punched" it like he does in the movie.

The "hobo" that lives on top of the train even stopped by to say hi and drink hot-hot-hot hot chocolate with us!

We also got cookies!

Santa came for a visit.  Since it was after Christmas the Polar Express was taking him back to the North Pole.  We dropped him off at a stop and all waved bye to him.

Santa left him a bell just like in the movie!

Cody loved riding the Polar Express and if you ask him what a conductor says he says "ALL ABOARD...THIS IS THE POLAR EXPRESS!" And he still carries his ticket around!
