Karis laughing at Cody

I was sitting on the couch working on my laptop and Cody was jumping on his trampoline.  All of a sudden Karis started really laughing! I looked up and realized she was laughing at her brother! I love it!!

The love between Cody and his baby Sister!

When I was pregnant with Karis I often wondered how Cody would respond to her.  What I didn't think about was how she would respond to him. He can make her smile quicker than any of us and her whole body shows excitement when he is paying attention with her or even if he just enters the room she is in.  She kicks her feet in her little happy dance and strains her head to see him when she hears his voice. He really loves his sister and she truly loves him too!

I love it when he asks to hold her! He refers to her as "my baby" or "our baby" and wants to know where she is or what she's doing if she is not in the same room he is in. He has a happy little "Karis" song he sings to her and also calls her "sister".  He never seems bothered by her and if she is sad he will say "I think she needs her mommy (or daddy)". He is very sweet to her!

We were all getting dressed for the day and he ask if we could put Karis on his bed so he could play with her. It was sweetness that melted our hearts! My new challenge now is getting them to both look at the camera at the same time.

Cody's 1st Day of Pre-K

Cody was very excited to start his first day of Pre-K! We had met his teachers, seen his classroom and knew who was in his class.  He counted down all summer to when school started again! I can hardly believe how big he is! We are loving his age and stage and wish time could freeze a little!!

His teachers asked him fill this out and bring it the first day! I love his answers!

Monday's

 Mondays are my favorite day of the week! Jason and I don't work on Mondays so for the most part we spend the day together as a family!  This day we tried a new hamburger place and went to look at the trains.

 Karis likes to be able to see what's going on and she especially likes it when she can see her brother! She was so happy sitting at the table like this while we ate! Cody makes her smile faster than any of us!

 Cody has a new love for dinosaurs and play doh makes the perfect food to feed them.

 He was sad that he doesn't get to use his napmat at school this year so he likes to lay on it at home.
