Cody and Daddy day at the Ranger's Game

The church staff spent the day at the Ranger's game and Cody got to go! A few months ago Jason asked if I cared if he took Cody with him so I could have the day with Karis (who was 1 week). Of course, I didn't mind and I couldn't have been happier for them to have a day together! And I got the day to nap and snuggle our baby!
Cody could not have been more excited! I gave him the choice of a blue shirt or red shirt from his closet and he chose blue because that's what Daddy was wearing.
Our friend, Condall, took Cody to buy a Ranger's t-shirt and they came back with a t-shirt, baseball cap and a baseball! They also wandered the stadium and played in the kid play area! I'm not sure who had more fun!
One tired boy!!

May 19th...Cody's "actual" Birthday

Cody knows his birthday is May 19th and has been waiting for that day for awhile.  Since we had his party early we kept telling him we would have a family party on May 19th. We had saved our gifts to him for that day.  Since "baby sister" was 5 days old we did not go to church but he waited patiently for daddy to get home and Bubbie to come over before opening his gifts.
Grandpa and Grandma sent a package that he waited two days to open!
We got him a book that he wanted to start reading right then.  Bubbie got him an indoor trampoline that he loves!
This kid loves garbage trucks and here he is with his newest one!
My mom brought him his cake!

And Karis (5 days old) got snuggles too!

Fireman 4th Birthday Party

Cody has been excited for his 4th birthday for months!  Since his actual birthday would be 5 days after his new sister's arrival we decided to have his party a week early.  I was 3 days away from my scheduled c-section but really wanted him to feel special and have his friends over for a celebration.  He had his mind set on a fireman party...so that's what we did.  We made it simple and invited a few of our closest friends over. We rented a bounce house and played outside all day! He was so happy! We can't believe he is 4 already!
He has never been big at dressing up but wanted this costume for a long time!
This was the first year we didn't stand right by him as we sang Happy Birthday to help him blow out his candles.  He was so big sitting with his friends....and loved the attention!

Watching his candle burn while they were singing....he was so cute waiting to blow it out!
We rented a monster truck bounce house for the day!  It was HUGE and towered over our 6 foot fence. Cody and his friends loved it...as well as the adults. (and no I didn't jump since I was 39 weeks pregnant) After the party was over everyone went home to rest and then our friends, the Ball's and our neighbor's the Applegates, came back over to jump again.
And of course, he couldn't wait to open presents!
We had a fun day celebrating our soon-to-be 4 year old big brother!
