Diapers/Wipes Baby Shower with the Students

Since Jason is the High School Pastor at our church, the student ministries department wanted to give us a shower. Our good friends, Sean and Mary work with the students as well and are due with a baby girl 5 days after us. Now that's something you can't plan! Because this is their 3rd baby and they are already stocked with baby items and we have had 3 very generous showers the student ministries decided to host give us a combined diaper/wipes shower! It was really fun and a huge blessing because we are loaded up with diapers and wipes that will hopefully last for many many many months!
Jason, Carley, Mary and Sean
(Sean & Mary were both part of our wedding party, got married 6 months after we did and so now we are excited to be parents together)

34 weeks pregnant All the diapers and wipes Everything was decorated in pink/blue and brown!

The parents brought all kinds of yummy food! So many people put work into making this a special party for us!

Of course being a party with students we had some silly games that we played! Jason and Sean had to sniff the diapers and decide what kind of baby food was inside. There is just something wrong about these next two pictures! It was funny to watch them figure it out! They were great sports playing these games!
We also played a game that involved questions about each couple. They husbands has to answer which couple would most likely do whatever the question said by holding up the signs. For example: "which husband is most likely to get up with the baby during the night?". Then they would hold up the sign according to who they thought the answer should be. Mary and I got to give the final approval if they were right. Then they had a diaper changing challenge. Obviously we were blind folded and had to see who could change the diaper the fastest! Mary won! My mom!
Not much longer and our babies can meet!

Baby Shower

Ok, I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from my big baby shower that was on April 4th. I was extremely blessed with many friends and family at this shower and spoiled with all the gifts! This is Ellaine! She is an amazing lady and I am blessed to have her in my life. She is also the one who is making the bedding and curtains for the baby's room and I can't wait to see the finished product! My Aunt Terese. She is married to my dad's brother. Jason, Kathy and me! Kathy works with Jason in the student ministries at our church. Over the many years they have worked together she has become more than a co-worker but a really good friend to both of us as well. We love Kathy like she is family. She's already requested to be the 3rd grandmother for "Bun". Her grandkids call her Kakie. These are all the wonderful hostesses and some of my closest friends. Pam (Mary's mom), April, Priscilla, Me, Elliane, Mary, Jamie and Jennie! They did a fabulous job on making my shower very special! I can't wait to have playdates with them very soon!
Jamie and Priscilla! Jamie's huband is the Junior High Pastor at our church and has become a good friend to me and Priscilla has been a long time mentor and very special friend in my life!
My pregnant friends! Since Jason and I waited 4 years into our marriage to have a baby I was afraid I'd not have any friends to be pregnant with and all their kids would be older than mine. I started praying for God to give me a friend to be pregnant with. Little did I know He'd give me 3 of my closest friends at church to enjoy pregnancy with. Mary (due May 19th but having a c-section on May 6th), me (due May 14th), Jennie (due in October) and April (due July 4th). I can't wait for a picture like this holding these 4 babies!
Very blessed!Randy and Diane. My wonderful in-laws! They came all the way from Oregon to visit us so that Diane could attend my shower! I can't wait for Bun to meet Grandma and Grandpa on Memorial Day weekend!
My pregnant self!
Ellaine, Mary, Pam and Jennie
Katina (our next door neighbor!!), Amy and Shelly (special friends from church)
Sweet little outfit from my mom!
Heather and me! Heather works with Jason and has become a good friend! She is fabulous working with our female students in the youth group!
Me and my mother-in-law!
Aubrey (my cousin), me and my sister
Kaethe is Ellaine's daughter! She's in 9th grade and such a special girl! I am excited to continue to watch her grow throughout her high school years!
This is the cute build-a-bear that JP (Ellaines son) and Kaethe made for Bun. They dressed him up in mountain gear and tried to resemble Jason's style as much as possible. It's adorable!
I love this picture! These ladies have all seen me grow up and have been a part of our lives for many years. Top: JoAnn (I've known her since I was 13), Kristin (my sister), me. Sitting: Aunt Cathy (she is married to my moms brother), Mimi, my Mom, Kathy (I've know her since I was 11) and Katie (she is Kathy's daughter-in-law and I babysat her husband Casey for many years).

I could not have asked for a better shower and was honored to be surrounded by so many women who love our growing family! Not too much longer and we'll get to put these wonderful gifts to use! Thank you all very much!

My Brother, My Mom and My Sister

I am a little behind in blogging. Partly because I needed Jason's help getting pictures off his camera and partly because I have not been on the computer much after work or on the weekend. When I get home from work my feet have been so swollen so I just sunggle up on the couch and get waited on by my awesome hubby! I have 2 showers that I need to post about so those will come soon.
We had a quiet Easter and enjoyed relaxing after church. Easter evening we had dinner at Saltgrass with my mom, Clay (my brother) and his friend Caitlin. Clay has not seen my pregnant belly (or chubby cheeks) since Christmas so it was fun to see his reaction! Kristin (my sister) lives in Austin so we did not get to see her for Easter. However, she was here the weekend before to attend my shower so it was good to see her then!

Carley's Work Baby Shower

Last night I had a baby shower with my co-workers! I was amazed at how many people stayed late after work to come! Two of my girlfriends at work hosted it for me, along with my boss and his boss! Since there were men and women invited, Jason got to come and help open gifts. We had a great time and were very blessed by the generosity of my fellow co-workers!
One of my co-workers made this amazing cake! It was rustic/outdoor themed...which fits our nursery! It was white cake with white icing and tasted amazing!! Here is a close up of the little boy on the cake! So cute!!
8.5 months pregnant!
Hubby got to come!
(not sure I'll ever get used to pregnant pics of my round face!)
The food table! Everything was perfect!
This is a funny face. I opened a "wee block" that is used when changing little boys so you don't get sprayed! Yes, it was on our registry but funny to open and got lots of laughs!
I was so excited to get my boppy!
I wish I knew why we were making these faces. Someone must have been saying something funny! The Jungle Gym floor mat
We had a pile of gifts stacking up! Now they are piling up in our home and it's exciting to see baby stuff lying around!
These little outfits were too cute! One said "Property of Mom" and the other said "Daddy's Team".
